The Powerdown Show/ The Turning Point Wed 19th October.

I see the Arts Picturehouse is offering a double bill of films about Peak Oil and the Transition Towns movement next Wednesday 19th October. What I like about Transition films is the inspiration they convey, showing what can be achieved when community spirit combines with positive vision generating practical action.   Its about small projects combining together towards a coherent strategy. These films aren't just about extraordinary individuals or fringe communities. They are about real people across all walks of life, sharing a locality - and a passion for building a sustainable future. It is surprising - even hard headed cynics like me can't help but be inspired. So do come if you can.
