Implications of the CRC energy efficiency scheme for green entrepreneurs
The new CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (formerly the Carbon Reduction Commitment scheme) is transforming the landscape for carbon reduction in large organisations, so we are fortunate to have Jennifer Brook, Bursar of Churchill College and coordinator of the combined Cambridge Colleges’ response to it, to talk to us about it and what it implies for organisations like the university colleges. We’ll hear first hand about the burdens its imposing, the uncertainties and what the colleges are doing as a result, and will have the opportunity to explore any “unmet” needs that green entrepreneurs might be able to address.
By March we hope also to know the outcome of the government's consultation about re-engineering the scheme.
As usual the cost is £5, and we'll probably go to the Maypole pub afterwards
